Background

Rich is originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He served in the United States Navy for 7 years and is a veteran of the first Gulf War. During his 7 years of service Rich took several business classes at the University of California. After being honorably discharged from the US Navy Rich then began his career in the mortgage industry in 1996. After several years of training, learning, and management Rich decided to form First Equity Lending with his wife Jill in 2000. During the last ten years Rich has focused his energy on assisting individuals with improving their mortgage situation. Because many of Rich’s clients were individuals who were purchasing homes he decided that it would be advantages to become knowledgeable in Real Estate. In 2004 Rich obtained his Real Estate Broker license. This allows Rich to assist his clients with purchasing and selling their homes. Rich receives almost all of his clients from referrals or repeat customers. In both the mortgage and real estate industry he is valued as knowledgeable, trustworthy, and ethical. His background is well diverse proving that he is perseverant and disciplined.

Interests

Rich has experience in almost every type of loan. He works with both clients who have challenged credit and clients who are looking for a better rate than their local bank. He has even been known to steer a client to a bank if they are looking for a second mortgage and he knows that someone else has a better rate. Over the years he has helped many clients from the point of bankruptcy to being “perfect” credit clients. The core of his business is repeat business and referrals.

Affiliations

First Equity Lending is part of WAMB. The Wisconsin Association of Mortgage Brokers (WAMB) is a statewide association that is dedicated to supporting the needs of mortgage professionals. WAMB provides mortgage professionals with the ability to further themselves in their profession by offering networking, educational and political opportunities, as well as legislative and regulatory updates. The goal of WAMB is to make sure it’s members have the necessary knowledge to help consumers in Wisconsin make informed decisions.

Personal Information

Rich lives in Middleton, Wisconsin with his wife Jill. Rich and Jill live somewhat in the country where they enjoy running their two Labrador retrievers and lawn care. Rich enjoys spending time playing paintball in the backyard; although he kids about being a little slower than he was when he in his 20’s. Recently Rich has been spending some of his free-time remodeling his home. He also enjoys spending time with both his wife and his extended family & friends. You might occasionally see Rich out on the golf course enjoying a “good” round of golf!
