Background

Rich is originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He served in the United States Army for 7 years and is a veteran of the first Gulf War. During his 7 years of service Rich took several business classes at the University of California. After being honorably discharged from the US Navy Rich then began his career in the mortgage industry in 1996. After several years of training, learning, and management Rich decided to form First Equity Lending with his wife Jill in 2000. During the last ten years Rich has focused his energy on assisting individuals with improving their mortgage situation. Because many of Rich’s clients were individuals who were purchasing homes he decided that it would be advantages to become knowledgeable in Real Estate. In 2004 Rich obtained his Real Estate Broker license. This allows Rich to assist his clients with purchasing and selling their homes. Rich receives almost all of his clients from referrals or repeat customers. In both the mortgage and real estate industry he is valued as knowledgeable, trustworthy, and ethical. His background is well diverse proving that he is perseverant and disciplined.

Interests

Rich has experience in both selling and listing homes. He works with his clients to determine what they are looking to buy and enjoys both showing client’s different homes and also assisting with open houses. He enjoys all types of real estate transactions but especially enjoys placing clients in there first home.

Affiliations

Richard Surek is part of Wisconsin Realtors Association (WRA). The Wisconsin Realtors Association was founded in 1909 and the headquarters are in Madison, Wisconsin. The members of the WRA include Realtors, inspectors, appraisers and other affiliate members. The purpose of the WRA is to promote competent and professional practices of realtors. The WRA also provides its members with educational prospects, legal assistance, political representation, and other real estate products. This organization also focuses efforts in Wisconsin to keep homes affordable and also protecting home owner’s rights to privacy through legislative efforts.

Personal Information

Rich lives in Middleton, Wisconsin with his wife Jill. Rich and Jill live somewhat in the country where they enjoy running their two Labrador retrievers and lawn care. Rich enjoys spending time playing paintball in the backyard; although he kids about being a little slower than he was when he in his 20’s. Recently Rich has been spending some of his free-time remodeling his home. He also enjoys spending time with both his wife and his extended family & friends. You might occasionally see Rich out on the golf course enjoying a “good” round of golf!
