We share only what the loan requires
Processing a mortgage can require information to move among credit bureaus, appraisers, title professionals, investors or lenders, and regulators. We limit that use to the work required for your loan and legal obligations.
Documents belong in a secure portal
When our encrypted borrower portal is connected, sensitive documents should be uploaded there—not sent through an ordinary website form. Until that connection is available, call us before sending private records.
Why unfamiliar lenders may call after a credit inquiry
When you apply for mortgage credit anywhere, credit bureaus can identify that inquiry and sell it as a “trigger lead” to other lenders. Those calls may begin quickly. They are not proof that First Equity shared your information.
You can reduce these solicitations through the official prescreen opt-out service and the National Do Not Call Registry.
